- Below is some text that describes the use !MailMan application (details
- on what !MailMan does can be found in the User Guide supplied with your
- computer)
-
- The !MailMan application is only suitable for those with a network
- and the following is the best way to install the application.
-
- In order to have a central copy of !MailMan to which all users have access
- it is necessary to set the following variables within the users own !ArmBoot
- file.
-
- Mail$Current (eg. to NET:&.Mail.Current)
- Mail$LogFile (eg. to NET:&.Mail.LogFile)
- Mail$Name (eg. to Fred Smith : Class 2X3)
- Mail$Source (eg. to NET:&.Mail.Intray)
-
- When !MailMan starts it checks to see if these above variables are set, if
- they are it does not alter them. It is important to ensure that the full
- pathname, including the filing system is specified. The will enable you to
- redirect certain files to local storage is necessary but it is important
- that the file pointed to by Mail$Source has public write access.
